Michael F. Haspil Interview

I was super excited to catch up with Michael F. Haspil this week. I first met Michael through Pikes Peak Writers in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A few times I’d be in Panera with my writing group and I’d see him across the room working on his novel. I’d always see him at conferences, and I loved talking with him about fringe archaeology and Victorian horror novels.

It was amazing when he signed with Sara Megibow of Megibow Literary Agency. And when he got a book deal with Tor, I was over the moon! He’s always been one of my favorite people. So, of course I asked him to be a guest on the Writing Day Workshops blog!

This interview is raw and honest. It hasn’t all been rainbows and unicorns on Michael’s publishing road. Michael talks about regrets and things he wishes he’d done differently. This is definitely worth the read.

He gives some great book recommendations and some great advice. Enjoy!
