Resources Mentioned on the Oct. 2026 Fireside Chat & More

When I lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado I had the privilege of meeting John and Stasi Eldredge. The first time I met them both, I cried like a baby because of the impact their books had on my life. The short story is this: religion can be damaging, but relationship is different. Both my husband and I have suffered some spiritual abuse, and the road to healing took some doing. John & Staci Eldredge’s books were a part of that healing process. Stasi actually endorsed my first book and it’s on my cover.

Here are some of the books and resources that have made a profound impact on me. If you’re ready for a paradigm shift, the links are below.

You may not think this applies to the writing life, but it very much does. I know 100% that I wouldn’t have been able to build resilience for the writing journey without this help. I had to get to the place where I could believe that something would come of my writing, and that there was purpose in the madness (and timing) of the publishing road. I also needed an arsenal against those negative thoughts that affect us all. Many of the tools I still use today started here.

Also, finding out that your life is a whole lot larger (and more important) than you think is only a good thing.

As I told you all on the October 2026 Fireside Chat, we’re not playing small here. We’ve all been called up into a grand adventure, and we’re all on our own Hero’s Journey.

Let’s keep traveling the road.

I’m cheering you on.
