Here’s a picture of the room I was talking about on the August 2026 Fireside Chat. 🙂
And here are some further thoughts:
Some rooms don’t just hold you.
They rewrite you.
Standing here felt like stepping inside a story that had already been waiting for centuries. Every flower, every curve of the arch, every shade of blue was placed by hands that understood beauty is never accidental.
Places like this remind me why I love stories: they are mosaics too. Tiny, deliberate pieces that, together, become something larger than the maker.
This is the kind of beauty I want writers to chase—not decoration, but atmosphere you can feel on your skin.
Where have you stood lately that changed the way you see?
What kind of atmosphere are you writing into your book?
